Introducing Tiê

Through this short interview, you should get some inside information on our latest team member and intern: Tiê Coelho Todão. He started working with us last Monday and we are excited to have him on board!

Some personal information

19 years old, originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, has lived in Amsterdam since 2009. Third year student at a college for graphic design (Grafisch College) in Utrecht.

Tasks at Mr.Prezident?

“For the next five months, I will be assisting the team in several design tasks. My aim is to, through practice, improve my Adobe skills. Apart from Prezi, I will be working in Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. Also, I will be working on my Dutch: I would like to get it to a level on which I can flawlessly function at a Dutch company. I am not quite there yet!”

Why did you choose Mr.Prezident?

“I checked out different design agencies, and liked the fact that this company is of a proper size: this gives me a better impression of working life in this sector than working at a small company would.” The website also looks great and appealed to me.”

First impressions of the company?

“I am impressed by the fact that the owners are two young guys. It’s inspiring. The rest of the team is also relatively young, and the atmosphere at the office is great: people are really taking time to talk to each other during lunch and on other occasions.”

“Thinking of returning to Brazil to start my own graphic design agency there
some day.”

Also, instead of a big white wall, we can see the Dutch Philharmonic rehearse downstairs. Wow! Oh, and I learned that our office dog is one of a special kind, that does not lose much hair!”

What do you see on your horizon?

“After this internship, I have another year of school before I get my degree. And what then? I would like to return to Brazil to start my own graphic design agency there some day. I believe Europe is more developed in this field, so I will be able to fill a gap there. But who knows!”
